Darrin D. Dufresne – President

Darrin began his career at CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest full service commercial real estate company.  He leased a 3.5 million square foot commercial real estate portfolio, representing some of the world’s largest commercial owners.  He also represented several large tenants in the Minneapolis area.  During his 12 year tenure, Darrin was consistently a Century Club and Millennium Club winner, based on annual production, and a Cornerstone Award winner for both exceptional client service and teamwork.

After CB Richard Ellis, Darrin worked as a Director of Leasing for CSM Corporation, one of the the Twin Cities largest commercial developers. While at CSM, he was responsible for leasing a 4.5 million square foot commercial portfolio, working with tenants like Walmart, Patterson Dental, International Dairy Queen, John Deere, and Supervalu.  Darrin was instrumental in decreasing the vacancy rate from 15% to 7% over a 2 year span.

Darrin most previously worked at Gannett Peak Partners, a small boutique brokerage firm. He focused exclusively on representing tenants and buyers with their real estate needs.  His relationships with owners and brokers, along with his market knowledge, assisted him in developing deep client relationships.

Darrin is an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties), MNCAR (Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors), and NAR (National Association of Realtors).


Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota double major in Speech Communications and English, minor in History.

In his free time, Darrin enjoys golfing, fishing, downhill skiing, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with his wife Nicole and his two daughters Luella and Ruby.  He is a volunteer and participant annually in the 50K challenge walk for the Multiple Sclerosis Upper Midwest Chapter.


Philip J. Seifert – Sr. Vice President

Philip has over 17 years of new business development experience in the commercial banking / finance industry and the commercial mortgage industry.

Prior to joining Blue Lake Commercial, Philip worked at the US Bank Corporate headquarters where he most recently served as Vice President of New Business Development and Prospect Management. He worked locally and nationally in developing and cultivating midcap commercial banking relationships within US Banks Commercial division.

His experience included developing, negotiating and financing, $2 million – $40 million of revolving commercial real estate deals. Through prospecting, and developing new business, Philip generated well north of $100 million of revenue per year for US Bank.

He also took three nonperforming markets (Omaha, Cleveland and St. Louis) from 50k in annual revenue to over $1 million in revenue five years in a row.

Philip enjoys hunting, fishing, waterskiing, cooking, and abstract painting. Philip and his wife Tally have two children Jack and Izzy. They are both active supporters of the United Way and Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
